Would you know what to do if your electrics tripped? If not here it is the advice:
1. Unplug everything from your sockets. Also switch off with external to the appliance switch all fixed appliances.
2. Check for obvious damages to leads, leaks under sink etc.
3. Reset the trip switch which tripped. There is two options here now:
Option A. Trip switch resets and stays up. That means one of appliances became faulty. Plug back in appliances one by one checking if the trip switch stays up. The appliance you switched on or plug in and trip switch tripped may be the faulty one. Replace or repair that appliance.
Option B. Trip switch still trips or wont reset. In this scenario we have fixed wiring problem and without insulation tester as well as specialist knowledge and experience nothing you can do.
